I am learning Gleam. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do because it ticks all the boxes:
- Functional
- Typed
- Nice Community
- Relatively simple
Well, it ticks those boxes. The functional one is whatever. It’s just that I did Python and C++ for most of my school and early career life, and then of course pretty much exclusively JavaScript. Now my situation is much different and I have the power to explore more language, of which are Swift, Go and..Gleam!
Gleam is for fun, I don’t see us using much of it in production, but who knows! Maybe internal tools.
